This person:

He does not exist.
If you remember, in July 2023, I shared Change your mind about this and 💪🏻10x your judgment with you. It carried this photo portraying a fictional character, Suresh. It was created using another tool with some freemium model, but I came across something more effortless.

This Person Does Not Exist .com

Simple.
No filters to apply, no prompting to do.
Just go to https://thispersondoesnotexist.com and a new AI-generated face is ready for you to download!

Screenshot and save it as an image.
Done.
Need another image?
Refresh the webpage, screenshot the image and save it.
Repeat it as many times as you want.

Adding placeholder images

One of the challenges in my day-to-day work is finding royalty-free placeholder images. For example, having an image helps me get an idea of how an interface such as this would look.

I'm sure you could find more use cases in your work.

Do you use any similar tool to generate facial images for mockups? Or is there a better tool in sight? Hit Reply and share it with me.

This is a summary of the chapters of a book that I have not read. But the title is impressive:
"All I Want To Know Is Where I’m Going To Die So I’ll Never Go There: Buffett & Munger – A Study in Simplicity and Uncommon, Common Sense" by Peter Bevelin.
Give it a read, it is full of delightful and thought-provoking quotes.

Jorge works at 37Signals. And that's what I like about this company. Almost everyone who works there likes to write.
Being a programmer himself, it is worth listening to what he has to say. He argues that the LLMs (aka AI agents) are already helping thousands of people learn programming at a scale that is unheard of. And the current models are already sophisticated enough to act as a personal tutor to those who are willing to learn.
In such a changing world, if you want to make it in a software engineering world, the opportunity window couldn't be more timely.
This piece resonated with me because the current LLM models are already helping me learn programming concepts in a personalized manner, almost every day.

Okay, so we talked about creating multiple calendars and sharing/subscribing to other calendars.But...But...But...Who will create events on those calendars?Creating one event is boring enough, how do we create many events without multiple clicks here and there? In the past, every home used to have a physical calendar hanging on their walls. Some still do, but now most of the smartphones have Google Calendar hanging on their screens. If you remember, at the beginning of the last year, I shared with you how I print and use a physical calendar for myself. Take a look at it and get your own 2025 calendar if you like the idea.I also shared about generating "Add to calendar" link at the end of an invitation for the reader. Those links make it easy if...
